Here are my main projects as a leader or as a member in collective ensembles. Besides them, I would like to mention also the Duo with Frank Paul Schubert (sax), the Duo with Axel Doerner (trumpet) and the collaboration with Thimios Atzakas and guests (Soma).
The band “Antonis Anissegos’ Amoebas” was formed in the beginning of 2001. The group is made up of musicians who’ ve known each other for quite a while from previous collaborations. Antonis founded the Amoebas as a band made up of a large collective of musicians, to take advantage of the possibilities presented by different ensemble configurations.
The music is based on Antonis Anissegos’ compositions and is a combination of complex structures and the intuitive power of improvisation. Despite the simultaneous several independent levels, the band achieves a colourful homogeneous sound. The music hopes to blur the line between improvisation and composition. Often, the traditional role of soloists and accompanists is eliminated by creative ensemble playing.
The band is named after the first composition, which defined the characteristics of their sound and musical concept.
In the winter of 2001, Amoebas won a studioprize from the Cultural Senate of Berlin, which financed the recordings “Amoebas” and “Alexander’s Legacy” in Loft/Cologne. In march 2003, the band was invited for two performances with the band-name “Aboe” in South Korea (International Musicfestival, Tongyeong).
Solo-concerts with the title “take your right side to the left”. “take your right side to the left” is an unnotated and flexible composition that was developed in performances over the last years.
The trio that was started in 2004 is dedicated in performances of new and original compositions, composed for the trio.

The Band was started in 2004 and won a studioprize from the Cultural Senate of Berlin in 2005.
